Conny Méndez

‘Juana María de la Concepción Méndez Guzmán, better known by her artistic name Conny Méndez, was a composer, painter, caricaturist, actress, stage director, lecturer and interpreter of her own compositions for voice as well as guitar and piano, popular, folkloric and romantic works. She was born in Caracas, Venezuela, on April 11, 1898, and disincarnated in Miami, on November 26, 1979, writing several metaphysical books. After studying Metaphysics since 1939, at the beginning of World War II, reading “The Golden Key” by Emmet Fox, she became a student of that author and lecturer on Metaphysics. He was involved in the creation of “New Thought” in the United States and was one of the greatest inspirers of “Alcoholics Anonymous”.

‘Conny Méndez was the initiator of the Metaphysics Movement in Venezuela. She popularised the term “Metaphysics” to refer to a “Self-help” movement that has nothing to do with rigorous academic philosophical studies. Her main Metaphysics works are compiled in “Metaphysics 4 in 1” volumes I, II, III and IV.’ Ruben Cedeño.

‘What is the ‘Inner Self’? It’s the expression of three conditions consciousness, intelligence and love in their highest degrees. It’s Love in its purest degree. It’s the purest blue will, that of God himself. It’s gold, pure, and high intelligence like God himself. It’s the essence of Divinity and everything we are on the highest, purest, noblest, most perfect scale. It’s the essence of truth as well as the pattern and design of God’s will for us.’ Conny Mendez
